ENGESOLARBOX ® Solar Assisted Heating Systems

Our own production ENGESOLARBOX ® technology is a solar air heating system that uses the power of the sun to heat the ventilation air of your building. It minimizes energy consumption, heating costs and carbon emissions during the heating season. It directly addresses one of the biggest sources of building energy consumption: indoor and ventilation heating. ENGESOLARBOX ® heating also enables buildings to increase ventilation air without increasing energy costs or carbon emissions.
ENGESOLARBOX ® systems are all metal and there is no constant maintenance on them.

How do ENGESOLARBOX ® Solar Assisted Heating systems work?

Buildings with central heating and ventilation systems draw fresh air through HVAC units.
In winter, these units consume huge amounts of energy to warm the incoming cold air to comfortable indoor temperatures. The fresh air from the ENGESOLARBOX ® system is heated by solar energy before it reaches the fresh air side of the HVAC or HRV/ERV unit, minimizing building fuel consumption during the heating season.
When the sun's rays heat the surface of the ENGESOLARBOX ® façade, fresh, sun-heated air accumulates on the surface of the collector. Existing HVAC units draw this solar-heated air through vents in ENGESOLARBOX ® panels.
This solar-heated air is collected in the air gap behind the ENGESOLARBOX ® panels and goes to the fresh air inlet of the existing HVAC unit via mechanical ducts. When the air heated by solar energy is not desired in summer, the ENGESOLARBOX ® system is bypassed and the HVAC system is drawn directly from the environment.
ENGESOLARBOX ® Solar Assisted Heating systems can heat the incoming fresh air up to 24°C above ambient temperatures. In this configuration, significantly less heating fuel is required to heat the building's fresh air supply. In fact, test studies have shown that effectively designed ENGESOLARBOX ® systems can change 20-50% of the building heating load.
ENGESOLARBOX ® Solar Supported Heating systems, which are specially designed and maintenance-free, with high gain, are designed for each project, taking into account the demands and the location of the building.
